Consider this your formal invite to Africa’s prestigious Tech showcase. Demo Day for Cohort 2 of the Telecel Group Africa Startup Initiative Program (ASIP) Accelerator will take place in Dakar on the 6th of July. 

We are excited to display the progress that our 11 startups have made. For the past three months, the group received support and took part in various projects that were meant to accelerate their growth. The bulk of the program took place in Dakar, Senegal where the startups were hosted by our partners DER/FJ at the D-hub, – a space commissioned by the General Delegation for the Rapid Entrepreneurship of Women and Youth (DER/FJ) and established by the President of the Republic of Senegal, His Excellency Macky Sall.

The selection of the second cohort was based on a list of factors, namely, the impact of their proposed solution, scalability, vision, whether they had the necessary skills to succeed in their markets, quality of leadership, commitment, market timing, and growth potential, and comparative advantage. 

The group will pitch their ideas online and in person to a global audience of investors, mentors, corporate partners, media, and other critical stakeholders in the African tech ecosystem. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with the startup founders in scheduled virtual meetings to learn more about their solutions to some of the most pressing challenges of our times.
