MailMoo, a Helsinki-based SaaS video startup has successfully closed its €300k pre-seed funding round in order to accelerate product development and expand its engineering team.

The funding round was led by Innovestor, with additional investment coming from Monttu Ventures, and a syndicate of twelve angel investors focused on SaaS and B2B technology sectors.

We’re incredibly excited to close this funding round and take the next steps toward transforming how businesses approach customer outreach,” said CEO and Co-founder Janus Joenpolvi.

Co-founded in 2024 by Janus Joenpolvi (CEO), Veeti Roponen (CTO), and Miro Kymäläinen (COO), MailMoo’s aim is to transform the way businesses approach cold outreach and eCommerce engagement. By leveraging AI-driven personalisation and cutting-edge automation technology, the platform enables businesses to create large-scale, tailored video content for their prospects – reportedly saving time, boosting engagement, and driving higher conversion rates.

Mailroom argues that businesses face the challenge of standing out in crowded inboxes and engaging potential customers in a meaningful way. According to them, traditional cold outreach often struggle to capture attention, while personalised communication is resource-intensive and time-consuming.

MailMoo looks to address this challenge by enabling companies to record a single video and automatically personalise it for thousands of recipients. Using scraping and AI technology, MailMoo integrates personalisation into each video, creating personal connections at scale.

The €300k funding will be instrumental in fueling MailMoo’s growth. The company plans to expand its engineering team and invest in the development of its platform, with particular focus on adding new integrations and personalisation features. The company is also actively filling in new positions.

This growth in talent will allow the startup to scale its capabilities and serve a growing customer base.

Our goal is to make personalized communication accessible and scalable for businesses of all sizes,” said CTO and Co-Founder Veeti Roponen. “This funding is a testament to the strength of our vision and the market demand for innovative solutions like ours.”

With this funding milestone, MailMoo is well-positioned to accelerate its product development and bring its vision of AI-powered personalisation to a wider audience. The company’s roadmap includes the launch of more sales content personalisation tools as well as expanded integrations with popular CRM platforms and email sending services.

MailMoo’s ability to combine AI with a scalable personalization model has the potential to revolutionize how companies engage with their prospects. We’re thrilled to support their journey,” said one of the investors.
